Photo of me by Matt Standerfer captured on Election Night in Chicago, Illinois, 2008.

Hi Internet! Pablo here. I cover Congress for Latino Rebels (a Futuro newsroom). In February, I took up oil painting as a hobby that has since become one of my life's two great obsessions — the other being my best friend Queen Maybel.

Before finding my dream job as a reporter, I worked dozens of other jobs in the Beltway — mostly in political media. Washington Post called me an 'Internet Folk Hero" for my work as a TV booker during the 2016 Wikileaks — and GQ, NYMag, and others agreed.

Before moving to Washington, D.C., I earned a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Notre Dame where I studied abroad — first in London and then Santiago de Chile, the capitol city where I was born in South America.
